This year, we will once again be exhibiting at BAU in Munich, Europe's largest construction trade fair. “For us, the topic of sustainability is once again in focus, as we have also recently received certification for our CO2 balance from the SKZ - Das Kunststoff-Zentrum, which states that the use of 10,000 square meters of KÖSTER TPO Pro roofing membrane, for example, saves 18,600 kg of CO2,” says Dr. Dieter Köster, CEO of KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG. “This product, which is environmentally friendly and saves energy with a high proportion of recycled polymers and a solar reflectance index of more than 94, is just one of many products in our portfolio that stand for sustainability.”
Durability of buildings, tunnels and bridges
KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE's 40-year history clearly shows how much the company values the sustainability of structures. From the very beginning, the guiding principle has been “KÖSTER waterproofing systems protect buildings and the environment,” and today it is more important than ever. “You can't see them, but waterproofing is the backbone of structures. On each of the five days of the trade fair, interested parties will be able to see our waterproofing experts at work several times a day and talk to colleagues from the trade fair team. Among other things, demonstrations are planned with KÖSTER MS Joint Sealant, KÖSTER injection resins, KÖSTER Acrylic Gels, the waterstop systems KÖSTER KD 2 Blitz Powder and KÖSTER KB-Flex 200, as well as live welding of the long-standing, proven KÖSTER roofing membranes.
